Two footed cock, Geneva, 1690

Description: French-style two footed cock (35.5mm max diameter, 37.7mm between attachment holes), decorated with symmetrical scrollwork, two dolphins, geometrical, architectural elements and urnes typical of the French Louis XIV style. The only feature giving it away as made in Geneva is the counter-clockwise scale for showing the tension of the balance spring (1 -8), which mechanism differed from the one used in France, being exclusively used in Geneva.
